When executing command from command line interface CLI :
>show interfaces terse

when connecting a 10g port SFP in port 0 of physical interface card 0 for fpc0 and port will show in interfaces terse
et-0/0/0 up up
et-0/0/0.0 up up eth-switch
Please make sure QSFP or SFP is connected and transceiver shows in chassis hardware output (show chassis hardware )
Once this shows present , it should also appear in (show interfaces terse )
This is normal and expected behavior.
