Description

This article will explain whether SNMP polling will work or not if we configure SNMP community name with special characters [Example: M0$$@re!!@] on EX4650 where SNMPv2 is configured in a routing instance.

Symptoms

Able to commit the configuration without errors even though used special characters in SNMP community name while configuring SNMPv2 in a routing instance on EX4650 however SNMP polling is not working.

Solution

It is recommended to use normal SNMP community name [example: junos] and make sure that it shouldn't contain any special characters.
