In the Juniper EX4400 platform, when utilizing 100-Gigabit Ethernet QSFP28 ports, it may be necessary to modify the network port mode to convert the default VCPs into network ports. To verify if you're operating in VCP mode instead of the anticipated network port mode, you can execute the following command:

admin> show virtual-chassis vc-port

If the output displays details regarding VCP ports, then a conversion of these ports will be required, if not, the problem may lie elsewhere.

For proceed with the port mode change, execute the following command from the operational mode followed by a switch restart:

admin> request virtual-chassis mode network-port
admin> request system reboot at now (yes)

If Apstra is still showing anomalies related to these ports's cabling map and BGP after modifying the port mode, and you see LLDP information on these ports. Kindly check the cabling map to verify it is correctly mapped. Log a ticket with the Apstra JTAC otherwise.

It's important to  be aware that while this issue can be resolved post blueprint deployment, it is advisable to make this change prior to installing the device Agent to avoid unnecessary Apstra anomalies.
