Description

in DS-Lite +NAT with PCP scenario when address-pooling paired is enabled for both DS-Lite and PCP , PCP sessions will be mapped to DS-Lite pool instead of PCP pool .

Symptoms

P1 and P2 pools (P1 and P2 have the same IP range but with different ports ranges) are configured for DSLITE and PCP and address-pooling paired (APP) enabled on NAT rules mapped with DS-LITE and PCP. Based on configuration ,for the same client ,if DSLITE should have IP1 ip-address and ports from P1 pool and PCP Packets should take IP1 ip-address and ports from P2 pool.

it is observed that PCP re-uses the APP mapping created by P1 pool and allocates port from P1 instead of P2.

Solution

PCP and DS-Lite need to have ability to have distinct port pools on the same IP address and this will be addressed through RLI55046 which target 24.3R1
