This KB briefs on how to upgrade a satellite box connected with a MX (AD/SD), using satellite groups

Upgrade of MX remain same, as done for devices without aggregation setup.

The following steps cover the process for configuring SUGs and updating the SD software within the SUG: 

> Configure the Software Upgrade Group: 

set chassis satellite-management upgrade-groups < upgrade-group-name> satellite <value> 

> Install the LFOS image onto the SUG: 

request system software add <package-name> upgrade-group <upgrade-group> 

** adding SD to SUG will cause automatic reload of the SD:  

> Verify that the LFOS image version has been upgraded successfully on the SDs: 

show chassis satellite terse 

> Verify that that SUG is associated with the proper SD software version: 

show chassis satellite upgrade-group 

show chassis satellite software 

An upgrade may take up to five minutes, depending on the software version and the type of SD hardware.

If you already have upgrade group present in the config, you can skip first step.
