Description

A minor alarm for compact-flash was raised as below:

User@router> show chassis alarms

<...>
2023-11-15 02:37:22 -06 Minor Host 0 compact-flash drive error

Symptoms

1. Routing-engine reported a minor alarm, when the compact-flash drive is not initialised properly.

Due to this, we would not be able to see compact-flash information in the hardware list:

User@router> show chassis alarms

Solution

This could be a hardware issue.

For recovery, we can try to reboot the RE routing-engine and check if the driver initialises properly. If the reboot does not solve the problem, then we need to replace the routing-engine.
