Perform these steps to determine the cause and resolve the problem (if any). Continue through each step until the problem is resolved.
Collect the show command output.
labroot@R1> request pfe execute target fpc3 command "show ichip 0 stuck_counter" | no-more
SENT: Ukern command: show ichip 0 stuck_counter
Output streams are stuck 0 times.
{master}
labroot@R1> request pfe execute target fpc3 command "show ichip 1 stuck_counter" | no-more
SENT: Ukern command: show ichip 1 stuck_counter
Output streams are stuck 1428 times.
labroot@R1> request pfe execute target fpc3 command "show ichip 2 stuck_counter" | no-more
SENT: Ukern command: show ichip 2 stuck_counter
Output streams are stuck 1435 times.
labroot@R1> request pfe execute target fpc3 command "show ichip 3 stuck_counter" | no-more
SENT: Ukern command: show ichip 3 stuck_counter
Output streams are stuck 1410 times.
Collect the above counters and check any increment on the "output streams are stuck"
Capture the output to a file (in case you have to open a technical support case). To do this, configure each SSH client/terminal emulator to log your session.
show log messages
show log chassisd
start shell network pfe <fpc#>
show nvram
show syslog messages
exit
Analyze the show command output.
In the 'show log messages', review the events that occurred at or just before the appearance of the "ICHIP (x) one or more stream blocked detected" message. Frequently these events help identify the cause.
Restart the FPC and monitor. If the error is seen again after the FPC is restarted, contact your technical support representative.
