These errors are observed on the Server side interface. The troubleshooting steps included:
1. Changing physical cables.
2. Swapping cables between switches.
3. Moved the interfaces on the switch to different ports.
None of the above resolved the problem.
Per the following link from Nutanix support, this is a known cosmetic issue: https://portal.nutanix.com/page/documents/kbs/details?targetId=kA0600000008cAaCAI“If only one NIC is alerting, check to see if the NICs are all the same type of hardware, as different hardware has different error counters, and the rx_length_error counter may not exist on all the NICs. If the NIC in question is Intel XXV710, upgrading to NCC 4.6.5.2 should prevent false positives for that type of error.”
Customer's version of the problematic NIC is 4.6.4, slightly behind. An upgrade of the NIC resolved the issue.
