On Juniper Networks QFX Platforms, you may see the following logs:

Solution

With QFX5k supporting Type 5, it is a must to have irb on a type 5 routing instance. If not, control packets going to the CPU with VNI having no irb in that routing instance cannot be processed and would be dropped.

 

Review the configuration for the routing instance and add any missing irb to the same.
