This article explains a problem where after the upgrade of the QFX5100 device multiple interface showing as "UNSUPPORTED" in the ''show chassis hardware" output.
The optics are not recognized properly on the device.

This is a transient hardware issue where the optics are not recognized correctly although the same optics work on other interfaces.
It is recommended to power cycle the device.
If the issue is not resolved after power cycle then replace the device.
