This article provides "no-copy" option behavior of "request system software add" command for Junos upgrade on SRX TVP Platforms.

Command Example:

 request system software add no-copy <Junos image name>

KB32190 [juniper.net] provides "the firmware file will be copied to the /var/sw/pkg/" by default.

On SRX TVP platforms (SRX1500/SRX4100/SRX4200/SRX4600), this behavior won't be seen. Need clarification.

KB32190 [juniper.net] information is applied for SRX branch models.

Not applicable for SRX TVP Platforms.

Though no-copy is used / not used, the behavior won't change.

On SRX TVP platforms, it is recommended that you would ignore "no-copy" option.
