Several customers have notified JTAC that they cannot log in to their new CTPs because the default passwords are not working. The shell users affected are ctp, ctp_cmd, root, and ctp_sa.
This article explains the changes that have been made to the default user passwords and what the new default password is.
Due to a manufacturing process change, the default user passwords have been modified and the password for all users is "Juniper_123."
When you are in the CLI menu, you can change the default user passwords by using the Linux command "passwd."
OR if you want to set them to the CTP defaults, go to 4) node diags, then 4) lab mode and enable them. Then go back to the main menu and choose 5) node operations, and then 22) default passwords. You will be prompted for the root password, which will also be "Juniper_123."
