Despite observing light being transmitted and received in both directions, the ports on Juniper devices fail to come up when using SFP-LX10 connections.
Upon investigating this issue and replicating the scenario, it has been determined that the interface connectivity problem is likely due to compatibility issues with the hardware component 740-031850. This hardware is not supported for use with EX4400 devices.
