Description

In the EVPN-VxLAN scenario, where AE is configured with native VLAN and has multiple child interfaces during various triggers like child add/delete, reboot, restart PFE, etc., untagged traffic will be dropped on the ingress of the child port due to incorrect settings in the hardware.

Symptoms

On Junos QFX platforms in EVPN-VxLAN (Ethernet VPN-Virtual Extensible LAN) untagged traffic can drop in ingress.
MAC addres is not learned.

 

Solution

The issue was reported on PR1666551 and is resolved on the following versions.

Delete and add native VLAN ID


TRIGGERS
This issue might be seen if the following conditions are met:
* On Junos Platforms (QFX5100, QFX5110, QFX5200, QFX5210, QFX5120, EX4650, EX4600)
* In EVPN-VxLAN scenario
* Native-VLAN is configured
* one of the interfaces in AE (ESI LAG) is add/delete, reboot, restart PFE
