Description

SRX does not boot, it has no output on the serial consoles. The device is completely unresponsive.

Symptoms

  • SRX does not boot.
  • No proper console output.
  • Console output shows like unknown characters only when it is powering on for the first time.
  • Storage light is off.
  • Console cable works fine in the other node.
  • Green lights AC/DC.
  • Port lights on.
  • Serial console changed.
  • Power supplies changed.
  • Power cord changed.

Solution

RMA created. We think the storage might be damaged considering the power system was ok, the storage light was off, and no console output was displaying even though the SRX was powered on.
