Traffic for VLAN-id 2 gets dropped in Ethernet-CCC L2 Circuit on QFX5k/EX4650 platforms

Symptoms

Traffic drop will be seen for VLAN having VLAN-id 2 in Ethernet-CCC L2 circuit scenario on Junos QFX5k and EX4650 platforms. This is because the egress PE router is stripping the VLN-id tag and hence the CE router drops the traffic.

 

Solution

The issue is resolved in PR1731291. https://prsearch.juniper.net/problemreport/PR1731291

 

As a workaround if both ends of the CE router has native VLAN configured as VLAN 2 traffic drop will not occur.
