This article explains on troubleshooting steps to clear the Craft Failure alarm.

We can see the below alarm on the switch:

There is no LED indication on LED craft panel.

The craft interface is also referred to as the Front Panel Module (FPM). The craft interface, located on the front of the switch chassis, provides status information, alarm indicators and contacts, PIC online and offline buttons, Flexible PIC Concentrator (FPC) online and offline buttons and LED status indicators, Routing Engine offline button and LED status indicators, and management access to the router.

Please follow the below steps to troubleshoot to clear the alarm:

1. Soft reboot the device and if that doesn’t work, we can proceed with hard reboot.
2. We can try reseating the craft interface/ front panel.

If the above step doesn’t clear the alarm, then kindly raise a case with JTAC.
