This article explains why Contrail Service Orchestration (CSO) does not allow users to initiate RMA for a specific member site.

A user requires to RMA one of the Spoke sites in a cluster (SRX or NFX). The user navigates to: Home > Resources > Site Management, and then selects the cluster site whose member site needs to be RMA'ed. The user clicks "More" but sees that the "Initiate RMA" option is grayed out (disabled) for the specific member. However, the option is available for the whole site.

Contrail Service Orchestration (CSO) by design allows on-boarding of a new site only into the latest version that CSO is running. This also applies to RMA of a spoke site.

For example, if the CSO version is 6.3 and the spoke version is 6.2, the user cannot RMA a member of the cluster that is running on 6.2.
If the user clicks on "Grant RMA" for the cluster, both the nodes needs to be re-onboarded and the same cannot be rolled back.

Hence, cautiously first update the CSO version of the Site to 6.3 and then "Grant RMA" for single/specific node becomes available and user can safely initiate RMA for a single/specific node of the cluster.
