When you are unable to ssh access the switch and the following messages are present:
kern.maxfiles limit exceeded by uid 65534, pleae see tuning(7)
-Unable to login to the switch via SSH
-Via console you find the session is full of the following messages:
The issue matches PR1567634 https://prsearch.juniper.net/problemreport/PR1567634
There are a couple workarounds to solve this problem:
1) Restarting eventd process:
root@switch> restart event-processing
2) If you are not able to login the switch, the next step is to reboot.
3) If the reboot does not fix the issue, the next step is a format install.
For a permanent fix, upgrade the switch to fixed release of PR1567634.
