Description

This log message is being generated. dcbcm_drv_port_get_lipa_status: Port Speed set failed for port 16 error Invalid configuration

Solution

Check the Port Configuration: Use then CLI to examine the configuration of affected port. Ensure that the speed of the port is set correctly and compatible with the device connected to it. You can use the following command to check the interface configuration:

show configuration interfaces ge-0/0/16 (please replace with your actual interface)

Check the Physical Layer: Verify the cable, SFP (if used), and the device connected to the port. A hardware problem could be causing this issue. It could be that the physical layer cannot support the configured speed.

Reset the Configuration: If the issue persists, try resetting the port configuration to its default state, and then reconfigure it again.

These logs are often non-impacting and does not hinder network performance, however, if some case the logs are being generated every second or even faster, which can cause the logging terminal to be full of these logs and can hinder the ability to monitor important logs.
