Description

Customer was using an ESXi server connecting to two leaf's (QFX) for IPV4 and IPV6.

They had issues in pinging link local address for IPV6. 

 

Symptoms

Customer had issues pinging the link local from their ESXi server.

Solution

They need to configure same link local on both sides( same like IPV4 and IPV6 global address) in the anycast design to make the pings work.

Once the link-local is same on both sides , the ping started working on one of the legs based on hashing.
