Description

Unable to access the switch via SSH from root user and its password where the switch is running 15.1X53-D58.3. By default, SSH root login behavior has been allowed globally prior to the version 18.

Please note: However after 18 version, SSH root login has been changed to disallow by default.

Solution

The following configuration change is required in order for root login to work again:

#set system services ssh root-login allow
