New Features & Enhancements
1. KVM-Based Lightweight Collector Support
JSI now supports deployment of the Lightweight Collector (LWC) on KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) environments. This provides customers with greater deployment flexibility and enables LWC operation in KVM-based virtualization infrastructures. For more info, check KVM LWC deployment guide
Important: Existing virtual machine deployment options remain fully supported, and no action is required for current deployments.
2. Syslog Export Feature Now Available
The new Syslog Export capability is now available for LWC, allowing customers to forward collector events and logs to their external monitoring and SIEM solutions for enhanced visibility and analysis.
To configure Syslog Export:
Insights → Advanced Settings → LWC Syslog Configuration
From this section, you can configure the destination syslog server and manage log forwarding settings for your environment.
-Asset & Contract/Device Management Inventory's latest known data will always be shown, even if the device is offline
-In PBN/Security vulnerabilities reports, the report can now extend its time frame to include all PBNs or vulnerabilities if required. The default window should remain 90 days to prevent excessive data loading when not necessary.
-All GNFs will be displayed as part of the product family of the chassis they belong to.
