Cannot Enable NSM Agent on the Firewall
When the command "set nsmgmt enable" is executed on the command line of the firewall, the following message is displayed:
No server/ID configured. NSM agent remains disabled.
This problem occurs when the firewall is not configured with the NetScreen-Security Manager (NSM) agent information. In addition, this problem will occur if the NSM agent is enabled on the firewall without adding the device on the NSM server.
To configure the device with the NSM agent information and add the device to the NSM server, perform the following steps:
From the FW/VPN Device Tree tab, right-click the firewall, and then click RMA Device .
From the Confirm RMA Device dialog box, click OK .
Right-click the device, and then click Activate Device .
In the Firewall/VPN Device dialog box, click to select Device deployed and IP is reachable , and then click Next .
From the Connect To Device With drop-down menu, click to select the new connection method, and then click Next .
