Enabling OSPF Point-to-Multipoint Support Using NSM

Symptoms

Solution

ScreenOS release 5.1 introduced Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP) interface support for Open Shortest Path First (OSPF). P2MP interfaces may be used when one tunnel interface is bound to multiple VPN tunnels (hub and spoke environment) and OSPF is enabled at multiple spokes. In this configuration, the tunnel interface at the hub can be configured as a P2MP OSPF interface.

note P2MP is only available for tunnel interfaces, and not for standard Ethernet interfaces.

To enable OSPF Point-to-Multipoint support using NSM, perform the following steps:

alt Connect to NetScreen-Security Manager. For more information, go to Connecting to the NetScreen-Security Manager [juniper.net] .

alt Expand Device Manager , and then click to select FW/VPN Devices .
