How Do I Configure a Remote Admin User on a Microsoft IAS Radius Server?
To configure a remote admin user on a Microsoft IAS Radius server, perform the following steps:
From the toolbar, click Action , and then click New RADIUS Client .
In the Friendly name text box, enter a friendly name for the Radius server. In the Client address text box, enter either the IP address or FDQN of the Radius server.
Click Next . From the Client-Vendor drop-down menu, click RADIUS Standard . In the Shared Secret text box, enter a shared secret, and then confirm the shared secret.
Click Finish . Click Remote Access Policies .
From the toolbar, click Action , and then click New Remote Access Policy .
From the New Remote Access Policy Wizard window, click Next .
Click to select Set up a custom policy , and then in the Policy name text box, enter a policy name.
Click Next . Click Add .
From the Attribute types list, click Client-IP-Address , and then click Add .
From the Client-IP-Address window, in the text box, enter the IP address of your Radius client, and then click OK .
Click Next .
Click to select Grant remote access permission , and then click Next .
Click Edit Profile .
From the Edit Dial-in Profile window, in the Authentication tab, click to select MS-CHAP v2 , MS-CHAP , CHAP , and PAP, SPAP .
Click OK . Click Finish .
