RMA replacement devices for Juniper EX models (supported as a part of the Mist Wired Assurance solution) may not be cloud ready.

This article contains instructions on how to identify whether the EX hardware replacement is Cloud-Ready and how to upgrade to connect to Mist cloud.

Perform the following:

Step 1: Identify whether the EX device is Cloud-Ready .

The table below is a guide that identifies the type of Cloud-Ready label based on the model. This will allow customers to visually differentiate a product that is Cloud-Ready or not by examining the shipping box.

Note that identification may be different depending on the product type.

For EX2300, EX3400, and EX4300 Series devices, the Cloud-Ready label will be located on the box of the unit. If you do not see a Cloud-Ready label, proceed to Step 2 .

For EX4600 and EX4650 Series devices, a QR Code sticker will be located on the box of the unit. If you do not see a QR sticker, proceed to Step 2 .

Step 2:  Add an EX Series Switch to the Juniper Mist Cloud if you receive an RMA replacement that is not Cloud-Ready.
