When POE (power over ethernet) stops working on a device, multiple error logs are seen with status codes at the end.
When POE fails or has an issue on a device, status code messages are generated in log/messages:

These messages may be present with or without impact to service.
POE involves many electrical issues such as voltage injection, etc. POE uses these status code messages to indicate what the issue is.
For example, status 36 code messages arrive when there is a voltage injection on a device. A non-working port is denoted by status code 38, and so on.
Understanding the meaning of each status code helps in troubleshooting.
