Description

When Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is enabled on the CTP151 (9.1Rx), use of the read-only community "public" will not work and the MIB will not be readable.

This article recommends setting the read-only community on CTP151 to "acorn" (or any other string except "public") when read-only access is desired.

Symptoms

If the SNMP read-only community is set to "public," the MIB will not be readable.

Solution

Make sure to set the read-only community on CTP151 to "acorn" (or any other string except "public") when read-only access is desired. The read-only community "acorn" has always been the de facto supported read-only community.
