Adobe has announced Flash Player will End of Life as of December 31, 2020 . 

This Knowledge Based Article will address how this effects Juniper Security Management solutions.

There are three Juniper Security Management solutions that may be affected. They are:

  •  JWeb for SRX (Web UI for SRX series firewalls)
  •  Junos SPACE
  •  Junos SPACE Security Director

Junos Space and Junos SPACE Security Director are NOT affected as these solutions do not and have not used Flash Player for several years.

Symptoms

JWeb for SRX pages that use Adobe Flash Player may not load the page or components on the page that use Flash Player such as graphics and/or information. Below are the pages affected:

  • Dashboard → Chassis Viewer
  • Monitor → Interface → Ports
  • Monitor → Device → Voice ALGs

    • H323
    • MGCP
    • SCCP
    • SIP
  • Monitor → Routing → OSPF Information
  • Monitor → DHCP → Server
  • Monitor → DHCP → Relay
  • Monitor → NAT
    • Source NAT
    • Destination Nat
    • Static NAT
  • Monitor → Security Services → Policy → Activities
  • Monitor → Security Services → Screen Counter
  • Monitor → Security Services → IPS → Attacks
  • Monitor → VPN → Phase 2

Solution

Junos Space and Junos SPACE Security Director are NOT affected as these solutions do not and have not used Flash Player for several years.

JWeb for the SRX has removed either the page or removed any dependency on Flash Player for the page starting from Junos Version 20.4 and above.

Below set of pages are removed in Junos 20.4:

  • Dashboard → Chassis Viewer
  • Monitor → Device → Voice ALGs
  • Monitor → Routing → OSPF Information
  • Monitor → NAT
  • Monitor → Security Services → Policy → Activities
  • Monitor → Security Services → Screen Counter
  • Monitor → Security Services → IPS → Attacks

Below pages have been revamped and placed into new menus:

To simplify monitoring capabilities, the monitoring page has been consolidated to 5 sub menus which includes:

  • Interface
  • Logs
  • Maps & charts
  • Statistics
  • Reports

Any page not listed in this KB does not use Flash Player and has not been updated as part of Adobe Flash End of Life
