Description

This article provides more information about the syslog message "jtac-ex3300-24p-r2032 chassisd[1267]: fpm_show_ex22x33_lcd_led_per_slot: port16 Duplex bit is set along with speed" that is seen on EX Series switches and clarifies that no action is required since this message is informational.

Symptoms

The following log messages are seen while executing the show chassis led command on EX Series switches.

jtac-ex3300-24p-r2032 chassisd[1267]: fpm_show_ex22x33_lcd_led_per_slot: port16 Duplex bit is set along with speed

Solution

This is an informational message and it has no service impact. The message appears when LCD information is extracted and the bit set and speed on the physical ports is determined.

These log messages are generated by the following configurations:

set system syslog user * any error
```
```
set system syslog file messages any any
```

These messages are harmless and can be ignored.

If too many of these messages are seen, they can be suppressed by using the method suggested in [Junos Platform] Example - How to prevent certain syslog messages from being written to the log file .
