Description

This article explains the following error and if it has any functional impact on the device: 

LBCM-L2,brcm_irb_egress_cntr_get(),8684:brcm_irb_egress_cntr_get Invalid vlan id 65535 for ifl index

This error is seen on QFX 5100/5200.

Symptoms

The following errors are seen in the logs:

Solution

Interface statistic retrieval.

When the statistic retrieval of the interfaces is done, the device attempts to retrieve the statistics of all the interfaces including pseudo interfaces from the hardware. For example, IRB interfaces which are not physically present.

The error has no functional impact and is fixed in the following releases:

  • junos:18.1R3-S1
  • junos:18.2R2
  • junos:18.3R2
  • junos:18.4R1
  • junos:19.1R1
