This article explains why re-deployment of a failed Contrail CEM 5.1 cluster by using the Contrail Command GUI may fail again with an error and indicates that clearing the browser cache will resolve the issue.

A deployment of the Contrail CEM 5.1 cluster may fail for various reasons when it is installed via the Contrail Command (CC) GUI. However, when we delete the failed cluster and try to re-deploy the same again by using CC, the re-deployment may fail with the following error in the CC GUI:

The error occurs because the GUI is taking users to the provisioning log page for the deleted cluster and getting the deleted cluster UUID from the browser cache.

To recover from this issue,  clear the browser cache/cookies and other data, and try again by clicking “Add Cluster" after logging in to the Contrail-Command GUI and navigating to Infrastructure > Clusters > Add Cluster .
