This article describes the meaning of the following objects in the Juniper Identity Management Service (JIMS) application.
Note: The article is based on JIMS version 1.1.3.
Customers may have questions such as "I configured only one domain in the AD server. But JIMS shows three domains in the Domains counter."
The article explains what the counters include so that customers can determine what is expected and what is not.
Users
Indicates the sum of the following objects:
Number of users configured in the Active Directory (AD) server
Number of local administrator accounts
Number of users currently logging in
Groups
Indicates the total number of groups configured in AD
Devices
Indicates the total number of Computer Accounts such as those with SAMAccountName
Domains
Number of domains configured in AD
Number of JIMS local domains such as syslog
Sessions
Indicates the total number of active users that is stored in JIMS (includes init state and reported state)
Reports
Indicates the total number of active users being reported
This counter is similar to Sessions but it includes transient state users (other than init state or reported state).
