Description

The BITS port on the CTP2000 clock main card has been deprecated. 

This article shows how to identify if the BITS port is available on CTP2000 via a SSH or console session.

Solution

  1. Log into the CTP shell as user 'ctp_cmd'/ctp_cmd'

  2. Issue the command below: 

    [ctp_cmd@nova_61_69:~ 238]# cmd -d card 0 diag dbg_clkrtm dump_regs |grep Revision 
       Addr 0x02 = 0x04 (  4) - F/W Revision

    If Rev = 4 then it has a BITS port, if Rev = 5 then there is no BITS port present.
