Description

FPC automatically restarts to resolve a 'U32 abs read error' , but the error continues to persist.

Symptoms

The following error is seen on CXGE client:

Due to the above error, FPC automatically restarts as a way to resolve the error. However, restarting the FPC does not always resolve the error.

Solution

First, find the related PIC information with the command, 'show system firmware' :

If the issue continues to persist even after rebooting FPC, reset the related PIC.

If resetting the PIC does not work, please contact your JTAC representative and collect the following information:

  1. show nvram
  2. show system firmware
  3. request support information
  4. show log messages
  5. show log chassis
