Description

This article provides the solution for the message "Traffic logging is not Enabled" reported in J-Web under Monitor > Events.

Symptoms

When checking the status of events in J-Web, the following message is reported:

"Traffic Logging is not Enabled"

Solution

Set the security log as follows:

Configuration: 

security {
    log {
        mode stream;  <<< Don't use event mode or this issue will happen again        
        report;   <<<
        source-address X.X.X.X  
        stream XXXXX {
            host {
                X.X.X.X
            }
        }

Note: You will not be enable to view policy logs because event mode has been turned off for the security logs.
