This article discusses how to obtain the serial number of your software products that run Junos OS.

Software products that are enforced in Juniper Agile Licensing (JAL) are listed below:

  1. vBNG

  2. vSRX

  3. vMX

 

Solution

For products enforced in Juniper Agile Licensing, run the command, 'show system license'  to locate the Software Serial Number / Software Support Reference Number (SSRN).

Example Output

Note : Some products will report their Software Support Reference Number (SSRN) in the below format, which creates a unique identifier for each software instance purchased. In this scenario, remove the suffix letters, which will leave the actual numeric SSRN to be used for support entitlement purposes.
