Description

The NFX250 Network Services Platform hosts virtualized network functions to provision secure, ultra-fast custom service delivery on demand. It can be used at the network edge to provide advanced routing services, or on premises to run and chain multiple virtualized network functions simultaneously in an open NFV environment. The software-driven NFX250 gives the flexibility to create innovative services and automate services activation, with zero truck rolls.

Main components of NFX

  • Wind River Linux  (Hypervisor)

  • KVM 

  • Linux Bridges / Open Virtual Switch 

  • Junos Device Manager 

  • Junos Control Plane

  • Virtual Network Functions

This jumpstation focuses on the   NFX administration, configuration, and troubleshooting information for Junos OS Release 15.1X53 and later (non-NextGen, aka NFX-2, software releases).
 

This article applies only to NFX-250 running the NFX-2 software , that is the non-NextGen version.
