Description

This article provides information about the Junos Space Security Director 16.1R1 patch and re-release.

Solution

Security Director 16.1R1 was re-released on January 17, 2017 because the previous Security Director 16.1R1 (1874) version had two issues, which are described in  TSB17032 [juniper.net] .

  • If you are using Security Director 16.1R1 (1874), upgrade to Security Director 16.2 or later. (Prior to the release of Security Director 16.2, a patch was provided.)

  • If you have downloaded Security Director 16.1R1 before January 17, 2017, and have not upgraded from 15.2R2 to 16.1R1, download the new version from the Juniper Support site > Downloads .

  • If the upgrade to 16.1R1 was performed before the January 17, 2017 release, it is best to upgrade to Security Director 16.2 or later. 

If Security Director has not been upgraded, discard the previous download and re-download the new image:

  • OLD Image name: Security-Director-16.1R1.1874.img
    sha1sum: 5403c0058d4f29156292798d23a1442577216ba6   < Discard this image. Do not install.

  • NEW Image name: Security-Director-16.1R1.1896.img
    sha1sum: 8b61d1a154e19ebb43a7bf51cc68831bb529366d   < Use only this image.
