The ACX1000 allows multiple power inputs for redundancy, but can not notify the administrator that one of the power feeds has failed.
Most platforms with a redundant power option will notify the administrator if one of the power feeds fail, but the ACX1000 can not detect a state change in one feed. There will only be an alarm when both feeds fail simultaneously.
Both the DC-powered ACX1000 mix the power input feeds together before sending the power to the chassis. Only when both feeds have dropped below the minimum input threshold will the chassis recieve the POWER_FAIL signal.
This is a system limitation. There is no software or hardware fix. The power feed should be monitored external to the ACX. These models do not have a limitation: ACX1100, ACX2100, and ACX2200.
