As the EX2200 and EX3300 devices are lower-end CPU devices, they cannot be managed when polled through multiple devices through SNMP or NETCONF.
Even when managed through only one device - for example, ND - the CPU utilization will go high at the time of polling.
We might have to consider not polling everything on the device and limiting polling to certain critical alarms such as port down, device down, and so on.
Adding to this, if these devices are in a virtual chassis (EX2200 and EX3300) this will cause more issues with CPU utilization.
We have also noticed that the STP convergence time taken by these devices will be higher when the CPU is churned even without SNMP, for example, igmp-snooping.
For example, on the EX3300 and EX2200 with low CPU, VSTP and igmp-snooping are enabled for many VLANs. When a topology change occurs, it takes longer to converge with VSTP.
