Description

Installing four ADSL cards at the same time on the SRX240 stops it from booting up.

Symptoms

The device does not boot up when four ADSL cards are installed. The LED indicators start blinking and there is no output on the console.

Solution

Each ADSL Mini-Physical Interface Module (Mini-PIM) needs 12V. When you connect more than three ADSL miniPIMs, the total voltage drops below the minimum voltage required, and the device does not boot up.

This is a device limitation; four ADSL Mini-PIMS (SRX-MP-1ADSL2-A/B) cannot be installed on a branch SRX device.
