Description

This article explains why an SSD not detected message is displayed during SRX550 boot up.

Symptoms

SSD (solid-state drive) is supported backup media for the SRX550.

During SRX550 boot up, the warning below is sometimes encountered: 

BIST check passed.
PCIe: Initializing port 1
PCIe: Port 1 link active, 1 lanes, speed gen1
Boot Media: usb internal-compact-flash
Net:   octeth0

Solution

This warning is given when the SSD is not detected.

This is a cosmetic issue. The SRX550 is working as designed.
