When using OTN (Optical Transport Network) Menara brand XFP transceivers, low voltage between the XFP and the MX80 could cause a failure in launching TX power or an erroneous "Module Not Ready" message.

Module Not Ready
This is a result of the 1.8 volt vcc2 voltage being too low between the Menara XFPs and the MX80 routers.
If you are seeing this error with Menara XFPs, then it is recommended that you switch the brand of XFP, preferably to Juniper-branded ones. Per Juniper policy, non-Juniper XFP performance cannot be guaranteed:
Note: We strongly recommend that only transceivers qualified for Juniper Networks be used on Juniper Networks devices. Different transceiver types (long-range, short-range, copper, and others) can be used together on multiport interface modules as long as they are qualified by Juniper Networks. We cannot guarantee that the interface module will operate correctly if third-party transceivers are used.
