Description

After downgrading SRX210BE, SRX210HE and SRX210HE-POE  the SRX may report being a SRX-650 and unable to initialize on-board interfaces.  (SRX210B, SRX210H & SRX210H-POE units are not impacted)

Symptoms

Upon downgrade to Junos versions below 11.1 the BE and HE versions of SRX210 will bootup however it will report as a SRX-650 model, and will be unable to setup the on-board interfaces.

Solution
 SRX-210BE and SRX210HE units were introduced as of Junos 11.1. 
 Using versions prior to 11.1 is not supported on BE and HE versions of the SRX210 and may cause undesired results if used. 
 
  New Features in Junos OS Release 11.1 for SRX Series Services Gateways and J Series Services Routers  
 
 
  
 Reinstall Junos using USB to Junos 11.1 or higher using USB using below directions. 
   
      Install Software via CLI (Method 3 - from Junos software copied to USB stick)
