This article describes the issue of being unable to input anything via the SecureCRT console connection.

• Some customers may encounter an issue with the SecureCRT console connection.
• They can, via the SecureCRT console connection, see the console outputting; but are unable to input anything.

By default, the RTS/CTS check box is selected, when the user creates a new serial connection via SecureCRT. With this default setting, the console connection to Juniper switches does not work as expected. The following image illustrates the default setting of SecureCRT:

The customer has to clear the RTS/CTS check box for the console connection to the Juniper switch to work normally. The following image illustrates the correct parameters for the serial connection:
