This article provides information if SRX is capable of parsing URLs with accented characters.

Can SRX parse URL's with accented characters while processing UTM or IDP features?

Below is a list of accented characters as an example:

ß à á â ã ä å æ ç è é ê ë ì í î ï ñ ò ó ô õ ö ù ú û ü ý ÿ œ

SRX needs to parse URLs when features like UTM, IDP etc. are applied on the traffic.

Parsing of accented characters in URLs is NOT yet supported on the SRX as of writing of this KB article i.e. June 2012 .

Also, the input checking mechanism of the SRX will NOT allow a user to configure URL patterns, address book entries etc with these accented characters. Even the copy-paste mechanism will not work if you tried to paste an accented character in the junos configuration.
