This article provides information about the fru_is_present: out of range slot 0 for log message, which is generated after an upgrade to Junos version 10.4R9.2.
In chassisd log file, these log messages are continuously generated every 5 seconds:

The above log message is triggered by SNMP polling. It is displayed in chassisd logs for all the routers, for which the CIP fru is not present. This log is superficial in nature and has no impact on production. To avoid this issue, update to the following Junos release:
