This article describes the issue of commit not working to update changes in Security Policies Hierarchy, either Addition or Deletion, in SRX firewalls.

Symptoms

Commit not working to update changes in Security Policies Hierarchy, either Addition or Deletion, in SRX firewalls.

Solution

 

This behavior is intermittent and not always reproducible. The workaround is to issue commit full . For more information, refer to KB15410 - What is difference between commit and commit full? [juniper.net]

This issue is resolved in 10.4R9 and 11.2R5/11.2R6.
